2022 Mclaren GT looking incredible following our Paint Correction Detail and GYEON Infinite Ceramic Coating!

This Mclaren GT was a recent purchase for the owner who noticed some light scratching and swirl marks on each panel and knew his car could look so much better, he was also keen to have the finish protected and made easy to clean!

911 Retroworks 993 GTR Detailed & Ceramic Coated by RGK Detailing Scotland

Detailed for a loyal returning client, this is a retromod Porsche 911 which he had commissioned by 911-Retro-Works

This car is based on a 1995 Porsche 993 with all new carbon fibre classic 911 style bodywork and a nut and bolt rebuild, with a fully retrimmed interior, incredible craftmanship just like a brand new car throughout!

This car has been fully protected with paint protection film however the owner noticed the surfaces were heavily contaminated so wanted that rectified as well as having each surface ceramic coated using GYEON’s top quality line of coatings to provide long term protection and ease of maintenance for all of the surfaces including the interior surfaces, as he will be keeping this car for many years to come.

The surfaces of the car were treated to remove iron and mineral deposits, clay barred then lightly polished, enhancing the clarity of the paint protection film, and coated with GYEON Infinite Ceramic Coating, to provide a long lasting hydrophobic surface that will resist dirt and contamination build up and make the surfaces very easy to clean,

We then applied protective coatings to the interior surfaces, this interior has a combination of leather and suede, we applied GYEON Leathercoat to the leather surfaces all inside the car and under the front storage compartment, the suede surfaces were coated with GYEON Fabric which was carefully worked into the fibres which will protect against staining and fading from exposure to UV.

2005 E46 BMW M3 CS Paint Correction Detail and Ceramic Coating Scotland

This beautiful Interlagos Blue BMW M3 CS Individual!! 1 of 1 of this spec in the UK! was treated to our Paintwork Correction and ceramic coating service to bring it back up to prime condition and well protected for the next few years!

It was a real pleasure to work on this modern classic, especially this exceptional example!

The paintwork although in good condition had never been polished before and was riddled with light scratches and swirl marks letting down the appearance of the car, so a multistage paintwork correction process was performed to restore true depth and clarity to the finish!

The paintwork and trim was then coated with our top level warranted ceramic coating GYEON Infinite.

The wheels were removed thoroughly cleaned and ceramic coated, brake calipers refreshed in factory satin black, and a thorough interior detail was carried out to make this fantastic interior look, feel, and smell like new!

Finishing off with the engine bay which was thoroughly detailed, and also coated to make the surfaces look better than new and easy to clean!

Paintwork Correction Detail on Maserati Ghibli Cup by RGK Detailing Scotland

This beautiful Maserati Ghibli Cup was with us for a full week to undergo our Paintwork Correction Detail to get it looking its best!

It had never been properly polished so was riddled with scratches and swirl marks letting down an otherwise excellent original paint finish

A very rare car indeed 1 of 26 right hand drive Cups still in existence! fitted with a 2.0 V6 Biturbo

producing over 300bhp and an active suspension system, this is a very special car!

Considering the paintwork was still factory original we proceeded with care to ensure we achieved the best possible finish whilst removing the least amount of paint during the polishing stages, this takes longer to achieve however is well worth it for the longevity and appearance of the paintwork during the coming years.

Once all polishing was complete and we were happy with the finish we applied our ceramic coating to further enhance and protect the finish, we applied GYEON Infinite to provide a durable and slick protective finish, that is easy to maintain!

Inspection and Assessment:

This stunning new Golf R was treated to our New Car Protection Detail for a returning client , he had his previous Golf R Detailed and Ceramic Coated by us which he found worked very well and made maintenance incredibly easy!

2017 Volvo XC90 Paintwork Correction and Ceramic Coating

This post will highlight the dramactic improvment a proper paintwork correction detail can make to the appearance of a car!

This lovely Volvo XC90 was a recent purchase for the owner from a main dealer who had performed their own ‘polishing’ to prepare the car for sale, as you will see in the before and after pictures below the finish was less than acceptable with some serious and very unsightly machine hologramming on every panel completely robbing the paint of depth and clarity,

It wasn’t untill after we had carried out this work that the owner realised the finish was a pearlescent black with a stunning shimmering flake under the clearcoat and not just a flat black!

As with every paintwork correction the car was thoroughly washed and decontaminated using a variety of chemicals to safely dissolve iron and tar particles followed by by a clay bar treatment to remove any remaining bonded contaminants on the exterior surfaces, the paint needs to be perfectly clean before polishing for the best results!

Multiple stages of polishing commenced, using two different sizes of rotary polisher to reach each area and a selection of pads and polishes to safely remove the defects and leave a crystal clear finish, paint depth readings were taken throughout to ensure the least amount of paint was being removed!

Once complete each exterior surface was treated to Gyeon Quartz Ceramic Coatings to protect against the effects of the weather such as, acid rain, bird droppings, UV and oxidation, also providing great ease of cleaning and ensuring this car looks just as good after each wash as it did after being detailed!

Tesla Model 3 Performance New Car Detail Ceramic Coating

This stunning Red Multi Coat Model 3 Performance was brought to us by a returning client to have our Ceramic New Car Protection Detail carried out to have it looking its very best from day one with the ease of maintenance and great finish that a top quality Ceramic Coating provides!
The owner had noticed some light scratches in the paint after collecting his car, typical of many new cars these days! so after the usual wash and decontamination processes were carried out it was treated to a light machine polish to remove these defects and substantially increase the depth and clarity of the finish ready for the coating to be applied!

1986 Mercedes 420SL Full Detail and Ceramic Coating

This beautiful classic SL420 had recently undergone a full respray, however the owner felt that the finish was lacking depth and clarity, desiring a show quality level of finish!

Whilst the paint job was excellent it was being let down by the presence of sanding marks, pig tails, and holograms, the reason for this being that many painters do not have the time, patience, and skill to carry out the final polishing stages to a high standard!

The SL was booked in for a full week to allow to go through the car with a fine toothed comb, ensuring that as well as the paintwork the chrome, plastic, and rubber trim around the car would also be polished and treated, once of all of the detailing work was completed a ceramic coating was applied, in this case Gyeon Quartz Duraflex, which is applied in two layers, which is incredibly hard wearing and leaves a very slick finish, this ensures the paintworks retains its lustre and is very easy to clean.

The photos below show the before and afters taken during polishing, this was carried out in several stages using a variety of polishers, mainly a Flex PE14 rotary, paint removal rates were monitored throughout the process.

The interior was also treated to a deep clean to bring the carpets, seats, dashboard, door trims, and centre console back to new!

1991 Mercedes 300SL – Paintwork Correction Detail

Beautiful 1991 Mercedes 300SL which I had the pleasure to work on recently, this was with me for over a week to undergo a very thorough refresh!
The original paintwork (bar the bootlid) had picked up a large number of fine scratches over the years so required a intense multi stage machine correction via rotary to rectify the defects and restore the depth and gloss to the finish,
The interior was thoroughly detailed to make it look, smell, and feel like new again, and finally the engine bay was also thoroughly detailed to remove the years of grime.
