2011 Range Rover Autobiography – Paintwork Correction Detail

www.rgkdetailing.co.uk

This 2011 Range Rover Supercharged Autobiography was booked in for a paintwork correction detail, to remove the many swirl marks present in the finish, although a relatively new car, the owner felt his car would benefit from a thorough detail, as well as being keen to have durable protection applied for the winter…

Before any work began this is how the car looked…

The exterior was given a thorough pre wash to remove any ingrained dirt followed by a safe two bucket wash with a plush washmitt, a wash mitt is used as dirt particles are drawn into the mitt away from the paintwork, unlike a sponge in which any particles would be sandwiched between the paint and sponge inflicting scratches and swirl marks…

No area of the car will go untouched!

Wheels cleaned and fallout remover applied to remove all iron filings, the fallout remover turns purple once it comes into contact with any metal particles…

Road tar build up and iron filings removed from the bodywork…

Clayed to remove any remaining contaminants…

Wheel arches cleaned then dressed…

Swirl marks…

After…

Before…

After…

Random scratch…

Swirls before…

Finished shots under lighting…

After correction all polishing dust was removed, followed by an ipa wipedown to remove polishing oils, Blackfire Wet Diamond was then applied, followed Midnight sun, (Blackfire wet ice over fire), windows cleaned, trim dressed, wheel sealant applied, tyres dressed, and exhaust tips polished and dressed…
