2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed – Paintwork Correction Detail

www.rgkdetailing.co.uk

Thanks for taking the time for reading another one of my blogs,

The owner of this Bentley GT Speed contacted me after noticing a mass of unsightly swirl marks and holograms, which were especially noticeable in direct sunlight, many of these defects would have been inflicted at the factory, as the paintwork on these cars is flattened and polished before being delivered to the owners, this is done to a tight time schedule so often machine holograms are left behind in the finish.

So the Bentley was booked in for a two stage machine polish to remove the paint defects, leaving a flawless mirror like finish, which then had a durable paint sealant applied, in this case Polish Angel Master Sealant was applied, the owner wished for the car to be worked on at their home, so this was done from our fully kitted mobile unit.

Thus is how the car looked after our usual wash and decontamination process before any polishing commenced.

So after washing, and decontaminating, the machine polishing process could begin, the paintwork on this car is soft so the first stage was done using a medium cutting foam pad, and a medium grade polish on a rotary polisher.

In the below image the right side has been polished, with the left side untouched.

up close following rectification and final polishing.

Here are a selection of direct sunlight shots following the two stage machine polish.

A layer of soot had become baked onto the tailpipes, so these were polished also.

And the finished shots following the application of Polish Angel Master sealant.
